What I Did on Christmas Day: A Look Back at the Best Memories of the Day
A Look Back at the Best Memories of the Day
From the moment I was born, I have always celebrated Christmas. As a kid, my sisters and I looked forward to "Christmas morning" and opening presents. Now that I have a family of my own, we celebrate Christmas Eve every year with my dad.
To prepare for the day, I lay out some clothes and pack some food. I was so excited to give my presents, but it was so hard to wait! I couldn't wait to see my mom's face when she opened them up.
A few days before Christmas, I shopped for all of the presents in my house. The day before, I packaged them up and put them under the tree. Once Christmas Eve came around, I was finally able to give my gifts.
The morning with my son Had so much fun with my husband and son And when I said: "Merry Christmas" I honestly thought it was just for me.
I wish I was alone this Christmas Where I could hear my thoughts and create All the creative ideas are in my head. It felt like my thoughts were on another level This year I felt like I was being held in the palm of my hands. I had no fear of changing or altering anything. I even wore red
Because I had the best day Everything is going to work out just the way it is meant to be.

I'll never forget the Christmas of 2014. I was a mother to a young son.

On Christmas Day 2020, I was visiting my cousins, Katie and Kerry, who live about 2.5 hours from my home in Chicago. Kerry was a teacher in Minneapolis for six years, and Katie was Kerry's assistant. We met in New York City, where we became friends and a good source of support when we were all dealing with Kerry's sexual abuse as a child. Kerry was showing me a town they just moved to called Belgrade Lakes, Minnesota.

One of my favorite things about Christmas is the diversity of the festivities. There are so many types of celebrations, none of which are so important that they cannot be found at any point of the season. Whether you have been cooking or hosting for the majority of the month, or have just celebrated a few days before with family or friends, there is always a party that can be found. Christmas Day is no different.
What is not the same is that there is more variety in the restaurants and entertainments on Christmas Day. From seafood to fine dining, this is the time to take a break and get your holiday life together. Two places, in particular, are worth celebrating.
It was an awesome Christmas day! The first of three family Christmas events.
My little brother Ben and I helped our mom cook. It’s been many years since we helped. I can’t remember if it was that we were too old or she was too lazy. Mostly we just helped her eat. The family arrived at 2. We saw my cousin Stacey for the first time in a few years. She just had a baby boy and he’s adorable. Another cousin, Hayden, came by. It was great to see him. I brought cookies to the house that I made with my friend Gina. She was in town from Colorado, as well. My sister brought the kids by later in the day. They were asleep so I gave them presents while they slept. We opened presents and visited. At 10 I went to bed. I was exhausted. Waking up was the best part of the day.
